Where We Work
St. Joseph County is home ground and South Bend is the county seat. The county holds two cities and seven towns, spread across thirteen townships, and we pave driveways in all of them. From the middle of South Bend the work runs east along the river, north into the newer subdivisions, west into farm country, and south toward the Marshall County line.
The ring towns are not one kind of driveway. Mishawaka sits directly east of us on the St. Joseph River and runs into South Bend with no real gap between them, so its drives look like ours: older, narrow, and often on their second or third surface. Granger, out to the northeast, is unincorporated and much newer, which means wide subdivision drives whose first asphalt is now old enough to show what the base under it was worth. Osceola is another of the seven county towns and we are there often.
West and south the lots get longer. New Carlisle sits west of the city in Olive Township. North Liberty, Lakeville, and Walkerton are county towns with farm ground around them, and out there a driveway is often a few hundred feet of gravel that somebody wants paved, with a culvert and a road tie-in at the end of it. Long runs price differently than a two-car pad and we quote them that way.
One address needs stating plainly. Niles is not in Indiana. It sits over the state line in Berrien County, Michigan, and it falls inside this same metro, which is why locals call the whole area Michiana and think nothing of crossing. A contractor cannot treat a state line that casually. Everything we carry is written for Indiana. Call us about a Niles driveway and we will tell you honestly what we can take there.
